Easily adaptable for home learning. This is a set of resources to introduce and cover numbers from 1 – 100. There is a lengthy PowerPoint (76 slides) that covers initially 1 – 10 and then 11 – 20, followed by lots of practice activities. The numbers up to 100 are then introduced in stages. The PowerPoint has a whole range of activities, which are accompanied by a 6-page worksheet, a word search sheet and a Sudoku sheet. The activities include sums, number patterns and sequences, match-ups, true/false activities and oral practice. A great way to introduce numbers and build up to some challenging activities; ensuring the comprehension and use of all numbers up to 100.

These fun colourful cards can be printed and cut into individual question and answer cards to be used in several different ways, depending on the ability and confidence of your students: Both question and answer cards can be given to students in pairs to practice a conversation. (Easier level) Question cards only given to pairs to practice a conversation. Students will need to form their own answers. This pack has two Power Points that explain how to put present tense verbs in to the negative form. The first PowerPoint goes through forming the negative with n'/ne and pas for all verbs, except reflexives. It then goes on to introduce ne ... rien/ jamais/plus/que. Each section has a range of exercises to complete and there is a worksheet to accompany the PowerPoint. These exercises include transition exercises, important to start early on, ready for the new GCSE specifications. The second PowerPoint follows a very similar format for reflexive present tense verbs and has exercises to complete. Again, there is a worksheet that accompanies the PowerPoint. These presentations compliment my Present Tense Verbs resources, following a tried and tested method.

French New GCSE Theme 2 – Local, national, international and global areas of interest, Topic 1 - Home, town, neighbourhood and region. This covers the whole of Theme 2, Topic 1. The PowerPoint is very lengthy (69 slides) and contains work for certainly six or seven lessons. The PowerPoint is broken down into four sections: 1) Grammar; 2) Listening; 3) Reading and Writing; and 4) Speaking. There are several different worksheets to accompany exercises on the PowerPoint, as well as a transcript for the listening and answer sheets also appear on the PowerPoint. The exercises include: vocabulary match-ups; verb and tenses exercises; grammatical terms exercise; a listening comprehension with different tasks; several reading comprehensions with different types of exercises to complete; translations in English and into French; photo stimuli for written tasks; blog writing tasks (foundation and higher); four role-play cards (foundation and higher); five photo cards for speaking activities and finally questions related to the general conversation section of the speaking exam.

Based on the new specifications of exam boards for French GCSE, I have produced 40 different photo cards, all have 5 questions and are a range of questions to cover both foundation and higher tiers. The cards cover all 3 themes and all sub-themes. The questions are based on information from several exam boards. The assessment criteria for AQA, Edexcel and WJEC are included on the mark schemes document.

Easily adaptable for home learning. This is a set of resources to introduce describing others and oneself. There is a lengthy PowerPoint (76 slides) that goes through describing height, build, hair and eyes with reinforcement activities, match up activities, gap fills, translations and reading comprehension. It then goes on to introduce 16 characteristics with match ups, snake sentences and reading comprehensions. The final activity is the creation of a wanted poster for students to complete. There is an 8-page worksheet that accompanies the PowerPoint. These resources are enough for several lessons and start from introduction through to pupils confidently using all of the new language, creating whole descriptions of themselves and others.

This is a set of resources to introduce and practice 22 places in the town and lots more. The PowerPoint initially introduces places in the town items in 2 sections, each with practice exercises, along with their plural forms. The resource is easily adaptable if you want to introduce less. There is a wide range of activities on the PowerPoint and on an accompanying worksheet. ‘Es gibt einen, eine, ein’ is introduced and ‘es gibt keinen, keine, kein’ with practice activities. There are reading comprehensions, translations, true/ false activities, match ups, fill the blanks. The idea of what you can do with ‘man kann’ is also introduced and practiced. Pupils will gain a good knowledge of a wide range of places in the town, and will be able to recognise and use them in a range of situations. The work in this pack of resources will certainly cover several lessons.

There are two lengthy Power Points which will take several lessons to complete. By the end, pupils will be able to understand and successfully form the perfect tense of avoir verbs, both regular and irregular, as well as all être verbs. The Power Points can be used for pupils to create accurate grammar/ resource notes in their books, which they can then refer back to when working individually to form the past tense. On each PowerPoint there are lots of exercises for pupils to complete in order to check comprehension. A comprehensive worksheet accompanies each of the Power Points. There are also three further worksheets with exercises that could be used as class or homework and will indicate the pupils’ ability to understand and form this tense. This is a tried and tested method and will have your students being able to successfully form the perfect tense!

This is a set of 30 role-plays in a printable format to use for mock/ preparation/ class practice for speaking exams. These are all based on Theme 1 – Identity and Culture and have been compiled by studying exemplar materials given by all exam boards. There are 15 foundation tier and 15 higher tier role-plays. There is a teacher’s pack for each set of role-plays, giving the teacher’s part for each conversation. There are also two PowerPoints, one for the foundation role-plays, one for the higher set. Each PowerPoint starts with an explanation of the role play section of the exam and then shows each role play card, followed by showing the (!) unknown question so that students can also prepare for that/ start to predict what the unknown question could be.

This is a set of resources to introduce and practise food & drink items. The PowerPoint initially introduces food and drink items in categories, with practice exercises to follow each set. In total there are over 70 food and drink items and the resource is easily adaptable if you want to introduce less. The work in this pack of resources will certainly cover several lessons. There are a range of activities on the PowerPoint and an accompanying worksheet. Also included in the pack is a word search and an odd one out activity. The PowerPoint introduces a café conversation and then an activity for pupils to make their own conversations in pairs; reading comprehension exercises; and a ‘design your own menu’ activity in a step-by-step format. The PowerPoint goes on to introduce quantities with examples and practice activities as well as a dialogue ‘au marché’ that pupils can then replicate in pairs. Pupils will gain a good knowledge of a wide range of food and drink items, and will be able to recognise and use them confidently in a range of situations.
