Forming Questions at GCSE French

My aim is that you can download this PowerPoint, spent about 15 minutes checking it and making decisions about how you will use it and then be able to teach to the objectives without having to do much additional preparation. This resource / lesson plan should take 2-4 (possibly more) lessons to deliver depending on the class. I've added the ?question part of the AQA specimen role play cards for additional practice. All aspects of question formation, especially all question words, are not dealt with. You will need to decide how far you want to go with other question words. I have kept formatting to a minimum. You should not have to print anything, though it may be helpful to print the initial list of statements. You may also wish to print the list of questions for translation at the end. Pupils are not required to cut and paste , sort cards or do anything like that. You make the decision to introduce cutting / pasting activities if you want. You are free to take this skeleton and make the activities more engaging through the introduction of competition, quizzes etc. Use your skill and judgement. Each section is preceded by a part of a lesson plan so you and students know exactly what is meant to be learned. You can choose to show these slides or not.

The use of 'on' in French

In my experience the use of ‘on’ is often overlooked. The understanding of how it is used and translated is important for higher level students and certainly for those who wish to take French at A Level. This PowerPoint offers a structured approach to developing an understanding of how ‘on’ is used.
