This engaging Year 9 SOW focuses on different areas of comedy and satire and builds to students creating their own satirical sketch. Lessons have edited video resources, class worksheets and homework sheets which build analytical skills for GCSE. Each lesson also has a detailed powerpoint as a visual aid. Please note that this SOW will take some time to download as it contains mp4 files and over 20 different resources. I've found this SOW works well for the last term of year 9 when students have selected options!

IGCSE Drama: Two Mock Exams with Mark Schemes aimed at Year 10

I examine for CIE and have created these mock exam papers in line with their mark schemes. These are designed for the FIRST YEAR of the course, so include one 90 minute paper for January and one for June which is 2 hours - the idea is to build the students' skills in analysing text and writing about technical elements and acting. They are word files which are editable as they refer to practical projects the students complete. Both have detailed mark schemes and there are exemplar answers I have written for each question. I use these mark schemes to teach the students about the style required by the board in the written paper. Can be used in conjunction with my IGCSE Revision Guide.

KS4: Drama: Devising on the theme of Domestic Violence

A six hour SOW on the them of Domestic Violence, great as a start off for devising for GCSE Drama - encourages student to use non-linear/non-naturalistic conventions to explore a gritty and mature theme using a range of stimuli. Originally written for the old Edexcel Unit 1, but now used with Year 10 to spark ideas for the Devising unit.
