Days of the Week Introduction using witches (ks1)

(0)
My children love this! Perfect for teaching days of the week in the scenario of what witches do each day. Monday they clean the house, Tuesday they find their potion recipe for the week. Wednesday they go for a ride on their broom. Thursday they collect the ingredients for their potion. Friday they make their potions, Saturday they cast their spell and then the rest on Sundays. Would be ideal to have a witch puppet thats very forgetful. Introduction - Powerpoint. Page 1 put the days of the week in the correct sequence. When going through each day of the week, can you remember what day it was yesterday? What do witches do on that day? What day will it be tomorrow? Activities, differentiated to help the witch remember her days of the week. HA/MA - Tomorrow and yesterday. LA: Days of the week Sequencing. Extension ideas: What do you do each day?

The Magic Finger 2 week Literacy Plan KS1 / KS2

This is a 2 week literacy plan which I have tweaked over the years based on Roald Dahl’s The Magic Finger. It can be used in Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4. I have used it mainly with Y2. It takes the children on a whole literacy journey ending up with them writing their own extended stories. Worksheets included.
