I used cotton buds to create small dots in a pointilissim style, but could use fingers to paint with for younger learners or cocktail sticks for older learners. I have used this with both SEND and mainstream children, with each calendar coming out unique and personalised to each child. Then mounted on backing paper, using a seasonal or neutral colour. I have let children pick their favourite colour as the background to make it more personal.
