Gender pronouns lanyard for LBGTQI+ students
These lanyards are suitable for supporting your LBGTQI+ elementary, middle school or primary students and for those students in a secondary or high school setting. They are visually appealing and clear to read. They will provide your gender diverse student with the ability to remind people of their preferred pronouns without having to explicitly state it.
For students that are exploring their gender, a major stumbling block is their pronouns. They really want people to use the pronouns they identify with, but it is easy for others to make a mistake. Our gender pronoun lanyards allow your gender diverse student to let people know their preferred pronoun without having to go into great details or explanations.
HOW TO USE
We have included the range of genders with a choice of different pronouns.
Allow your student to select the card that they identify with the most.
Choose an alternative rear card of they want.
Print it off, laminate and insert in a lanyard or on a keyring
Discuss with your students how they will wear it
Explore different ways they could use it and practice using it with people they feel comfortable with
THINGS TO CONSIDER
Your gender diverse student may not want to wear it conspicuously around their neck, so explore a range of ways they could wear it without it being seen when it is not needed. They may want to tuck it away or keep it in their pocket or pencil case.
They will need to practice a range of situations where they made need to use it and how to use it.
You may need to make it clear that this reduces the need for them to have to discuss and explain their choices.
If appropriate you should include this lanyard adjustment on any Individual Education Plan to ensure you are documenting how you are supporting your gender diverse students.
Included in this pack:
40 x different designs for gender pronoun lanyards in black and white
80 x different designs for gender pronoun lanyards in full color
