Photopea Basics - complete set of free video tutorials and resources

A complete set of video tutorials and resources for students to learn the basics of Photopea. Photopea is a free web based image editing program similar to Photoshop. After completing this set of resources your students will be confident users of Photopea and will be able edit and manipulate images with ease. These tutorials were created for my students during lockdown to allow them to continue learning from home independently without me. Therefore, these tutorials can be delivered by non specialists, or set for remote learning. Once completed, students can move on to using Photopea for more challenging tasks such as creating media products such as magazines.

A complete set of video tutorials and resources leading students through a variety of creative photography activities. Each project includes a video tutorial demonstrating how students should take the photographs using only found objects and locations around their home. Then they are taught how to edit their photograph using Photopea (a free web based image editing software similar to Photoshop). Students will be able to undertake these projects independently from the class teacher and therefore make for ideal remote learning practical activities. All activities can be undertaken using the students mobile/cell phone. These resources would link with Photography, BTEC Creative Media, OCR iMedia, KS3 and KS4 Computing and Digital Art and Design courses. These resources were created for my students during lockdown so that they could continue to learn from home. I am sharing to support the wider school community during these challenging times. Please review and share these resources to anyone you feel may would benefit.

Complete set of free video tutorials and resources to create magazine front covers and inside pages using Photopea (a free web based software similar to Photoshop) to edit. These resources were created for my BTEC Creative Media students during lockdown to allow them to continue to work from home. They have been developed with complete independance in mind. Therefore, these would be ideal for non specialist to use or can be set for students whilst they are remote learning or for homework. I am sharing them to help support the wider school community. Please review and share with those who you think may benefit from using them. These resources would be suitable for students studying BTEC Creative Media, OCR iMedia, KS3 and KS4 Computing and Digital Art and Design.

Deliver examination technique with confidence with this pack of differentiated ‘Analyse’ style answer writing frames. Embed them into your teaching of this style of question. The templates are designed to cut down on onerous planned. The templates can be applied to any discuss style questions. The templates are designed to cut down on onerous marking time with a feedback grid at the bottom that gets printed alongside students answer. Simply tick the boxes to give feedback to students on which part of the question they could work on improving. Four worksheets: Bronze - full writing frame and success criteria (for one point developed) Bronze - full writing frame and success criteria (for two points developed) Silver - just the success criteria Gold - exam ready no support This resources is everything you need when you ask students to answer ‘Analyse’ style questions in lessons. Students can choose (or be directed to) the relevant worksheet for their ability. The structure and support is slowly taken away until students are exam ready. At the bottom of each worksheet is a feedback grid to make marking of this style of question easy for teachers and therefore the turnaround time for students is fast. This will result in rapid improvement and progress with students for this style of question. I will shortly be selling worksheets for all the other styles of exam style questions.

Mobile/cell phone photography curriculum - complete set of free videos and resources

A complete set of free mobile/cell phone photography resources. Most include a video tutorial and resources for students to easily follow. This set of resources was collated using posts on social media (each one credited with the original creators name) during lockdown. These helped my students to continue to learn whilst remote learning at home. I am sharing them to support the wider school community during these challenging times. I am now using them as homework exercises for my BTEC Creative Media students, but they could certainly be given to Photography students using mobile/cell phones in school. As they mostly contain video tutorials and instructions these could also be left for a non specialist teacher to deliver. Please review and share to anyone you feel would benefit them.
