Children will design survival inventions to withstand the environment of a remote island after a shipwreck. They will investigate different weather patterns in a specified area of the world before deciding on what they will need to survive. Children will be encouraged to use different diagrams (annotated, cross-sectional and exploded) to show their ideas before making and evaluating them.
