Learn about the Olympic Games and practise literacy with this fun scavenger hunt. There are 10 texts, each on a different aspect of the Olympic Games which can be hung up around the classroom. Each text also has a question; however, the answers to the questions are in a different text, so pupils need to move around the room, reading the information and searching for the answers.
The answers become the Code Words, which are recorded in the pupils’ answer grids. Once the grid is complete, pupils unscramble the letters in the shaded boxes to find the Mystery Word. The first pupils to find the Mystery Word are the winners. Pupils can play individually, in pairs or small groups.
