CP2c lesson from the new Edexcel Science GCSE, looking at mass and weight. The lesson includes an investigation looking at mass and weight, the difference between mass and weight, what gravity is, how to calculate weight, rearranging the formula and forces on a falling object.

CP2e lesson for the new Edexcel Science GCSE, looking at Newton's Third Law. The lesson includes, a recap of the first two laws, explaining what the third law is, what forces in equilibrium are, action-reaction forces, how they're different to balanced forces and collisions.

Revision activity for the light topic (8J) in the exploring science scheme of work. The idea of the task is that students write down as much information as they can about each of the images (in relation to light) all around the hexagons in the middle.

CP4b lesson from the new Edexcel science GCSE (9-1) looking at wave speeds. The lesson includes the two formula for calculating wave speeds, practice questions, Sonar and the CP4b Core Practical.

Revision lesson for CP4 and 5 in the new Edexcel Science GCSE (9-1). The lesson uses Marvel characters for the basis of 15 questions, intended to be printed and placed around the room to get them moving around as they revise through answering the questions.

End of Year quiz for use within Science lessons towards the end of term. There are 11 Quiz rounds to choose from (I usually have the folder open on the board and let one team at a time choose which round we do). There are several science based rounds, more loosely based science rounds as well as some generic rounds. ***More rounds will be added in the run up to the end of term. *

New Edexcel Science GCSE, CP1 topic looking at Vectors and Scalars. Lesson includes marble run practical, looking at what vectors and scalars are and examples of each.

Revision lesson for CP2 in the new Edexcel Science GCSE. The lesson uses Disney characters for the basis of 15 questions, intended to be printed and placed around the room to get them moving around as they revise through answering the questions. The topics covered are: CP2a Resultant Forces, CP2b Newton's First Law, CP2c Mass and Weight, CP2d Newton's Second law, CP2e Newton's Third Law, CP2g stopping Distances and CP2h Crash Hazards. *None of the question cover the higher tier content* Also included is a sheet to fill in with answers, a sheet with the answers filled in and all the learning outcomes for CP2 (to be used in the starter).

CP9h lesson for the new Edexcel combined science GCSE (9-1) looking at transferring energy by electricity. The lesson includes an energy stores/transfers recap, direct current, alternating current, mains electricity and power ratings.

CP6a lesson from the new Edexcel science GCSE (9-1) all about atomic models. The lesson includes a recap of particle theory, what atomic models are, the plum pudding model and Rutherford's model of the atom (both what he did and what he found).

Revision activity to help students revise the 9J topic in the new Exploring Science scheme of work all about force fields and electromagnets. The idea is that students make their way around the clock, spending 5 minutes on each section.

CP12a lesson from the Edexcel combined science GCSE (9-1) all about particles and density. The lesson includes kinetic theory, changing state, calculating density and measuring density.

NEW ROUNDS ADDED FOR 2018 AND MORE TO BE ADDED SOON End of Year quiz for use within Science lessons towards the end of term. There are 17 Quiz rounds to choose from (I usually have the folder open on the board and let one team at a time choose which round we do). There are several science based rounds (including CB1-6 specific questions from the Edexcel combined science GCSE that I’m sure fits with other schemes), as well as some generic rounds.

Includes information / tasks about why less women go into STEM based careers, the contributions that female scientists have made to the world and how to get more women and girls into STEM based jobs / careers.
