I have found that along with reutilising SMASHED IT (available on TES) and a SURVIVAL GUIDE (also available from my shop), modelling is the best way for students to get a grasp of what makes a top grade 8-9 text and guarantees success when it comes to their writing as they can manipulate chunks and “borrow” segments. This of course, is not just a copy and paste activity at all but rather to give the students a WAGOLL and also “inspiración” for their own work in their GCSE 1-9 writing exam. As we know, the summary tasks at A level are super tricky! Therefore, this resource will hopefully help students “transpose” and “summarise” texts that are written in the first person (I) form or the we form that need converting into the third person singular/plural form.
