This is a new style monitoring report designed for learners to reflect on their behaviour and progress in lessons. It is uploaded as a powerpoint document so that you can easily adapt it for your own school and learners.
It is absolutely designed for learners to make the biggest contribution to - and reflect on why they are being monitored. I have used this report sparingly and after a detailed conversation with learners who have responded well.
On the back is clear information from the Department for Education - clearly identifying that learners have the right to learn and the sanctions available to schools. You can included your own behaviour for learning agreement underneath.
This is working well with my learners - I would welcome your feedback.
This is a powerpoint document with 62 slides that show how a MAJOR scale is built.
There is a demonstration of C Major showing the tones and semi tones with two further activities building G major and finally D Major.
Scales are built up step by step showing clearly on the keyboard diagram and reinforcing the tone and semitone steps.
This is intended to be simple and straightforward as an introduction to major scales.
I have used this for both Key Stage 3 and 4.
This is a four slide Powerpoint presentation which includes twenty-four audio clips of percussion instruments.
Present the Powerpoint.
Students can select a number between 1 - 24.

Click on the number to hear the attached audio.
Students are then asked to identify the audible clip.
All audio clips are embedded within this Powerpoint.
All answers on the final slide for your reference.
I have used this as a starter with Key Stage 3 students to build aural recognition of percussion instruments.
Enjoy!
