My students have found this to be a helpful revision tool. They can research each theory in more depth, tick off the ones they have revised and use the grid to help them write example essay plans. The back of the sheet can also be used as a checklist to ensure practise essays cover a range of the language methods and to revise key terminology.

Three comparison questions in the style of AQA’s question 3 on Paper 1. Each document contains two texts that are linked by topic, but have different representations of the topic and different modes, as in the AQA Paper 1. These can be used for assessments, homework or class tasks.
