Oh, hey! I'm Bia and I love teaching children since I first started, 8 years ago. I've created my own whole class rewards system and other amazing resources that will help you develop the whole child while, focusing on essential skills such as critical thinking, cultural awareness, respect, reponsability & more! Such resources have been powerful and effective tools to bring positive transformations to my young learner classroom. This is why I'm thrilled to share them with you!

II’m so very proud of you for taking this incredible & challenging road!
Critical thinking is a learnable essential life skill and our students deserve (and need!) as many opportunities to master it.

In this bundle you will find activities (with answer sheet), video links and games to discuss importance of celebrating brazilian rich culture during carnival, while developing:
listening, speaking, reading, writing and thinking skills (YASSS, CRITICAL THINKING).
I truly hope you have fun picking your students’ brain through these activities, video links and games, while discussing highly relevant themes such as culture, female representation, stereotypes, independent thinking & more!
Also, I’m feeling a bit extra excited to have you joining me in this positive transformation movement, so I’ve added a bonus game to the bundle! YASSSS! It’s one of my favourite games, because we get to truly & deeply know our students and build positive relationships with them. YASSS (I know, I can’t help it haha) I’m talking about the “Would you Rather” game! Have fun!

LET’S GET STARTED!
Bring mindfulness into your classroom through this easy breathing exercise.
This worksheet makes it even easier!
PRO-TIP: Practice the square breathing before getting to the worksheet: using your fingers, make a square in the air. Make sure you take 4 seconds to draw each side of the square: 4 breathing in, 4s holding , 4s breathing out & 4 more holding the air.
Then move on to the worksheet and get even more mindful by drawing with a pen/pencil as you breath in/out/hold.
Have being mindful with your kids!
Hi! I’m Bia. I love teaching children since I first started, 8 years ago. I’ve always been passionate about traditions - especially genuine Brazilian traditions (something about them, right?!). I’ve been wanting to bring a Latin flavor into the young learner English classroom for the longest, and that time has come, my friend! It’s #TimeForAchange!
When I look back and reflect upon my own childhood, I realize I hold amazing memories of cantigas de roda (traditions chants sang over group games and dances), so I’m bringing them to the young learner classroom (YASSS!). Through research, I’ve reconnected with amazing cultural chants that make childhood unforgettable in Brazil, and used their tunes to create a message that will bring positive transformations to the young learner classroom. Let’s give a new life & meaning to these traditional chants, creating a sense of community, cultural awareness & appreciation in a fun and safe classroom filled with joy, respect and authenticity.
Thank y’all for the support, cheering, constant feedback & love that makes me so very happy, inspired, energized and empowered! I’m transforming the way I teach and I’m thrilled to have you on board!
Let’s raise cultural awareness & appreciation together!

I’m so happy to share my latest updated routine visuals with you! First, I must make it clear that I didn’t draw the graphics myself. I found them online (most of them have “Fumira” signed, so THANK YOU, FUMIRA) and named them to best suit the activities we do in class.
You’ll find both half page of full page available here, referring to the print size. Make your choice.
Hope it helps!
I’d love to see and hear how you are using this routine resource on instagram!
This is a compilation of ideas, games, projects & songs to celebrate Easter in the young learner classroom, focusing on the cultural aspects of this holiday. This doc was a collab between 3 passionate young learner teacher: Bia from Hello Simple English, Cris from English Creative Factory & Ju from the Clever Fox.
The fun, the egg hunting, the surprises, the songs, and the friendship are amazing features of Easter. Let’s bring them to our classroom, while helping our students develop cognitive, motor, social and life skills.
In this doc you will find instructions, pictures, links, skills and materials lists to the following:
Bunny Masks (with link for free download)
Crazy Rope Dance
Dying Eggs with Shaving Cream
Easter Egg Hunt (with links for free download)
Egg Race
Homemade Paper Plate Easter Baskets
My neighbor has a hen: #BringCultureToMyClassroom
Pin the Bunny tail: Color Matching Easter Game (with link for free download)
Links to songs & Videos to celebrate Easter with children
This voice level chart makes it easier to teach young learners expected noise levels in the classroom. We have it displayed on our wall and go through it every day during circle time. If we manage to keep our voices up to level 3 or below the whole class gets a rewards at the end of the day (we use our ‘power of respect’ whole class rewards system here, which I’ll be sharing soon).
