Fractions Decimals and Percentages bingo

(1)
This PowerPoint presentation contains a game of bingo which requires the students to convert between fractions, decimals and percentages. The game gives 15 options, 5 of each and the answers are written in the notes not on the slides themselves. Hope this can help!
Simplifying Fractions bingo

Simplifying Fractions bingo

(0)
This PowerPoint presentation contains 1 game of bingo which requires simplifying fractions. It has 16 options and therefore 16 questions also. The largest common factor between the numerators and denominators do not exceed 10. The answers are located within the notes section of each slide for easy bingo checking. Hope this is helpful!
Finding An Angle Using Inverse Trig

Finding An Angle Using Inverse Trig

(1)
This PowerPoint contains a lesson on using inverse trig functions to calculate angles in a right angled triangle. The starter recaps finding a side length using standard trig functions. Then explains that rearranging SohCahToa triangles results in finding the sin, cos, tan of an angle and that there is one more step. Supporting questions are at the end with a GCSE style question, which is no more challenging than the other questions.
Factorise Linear Expressions: Practice questions

Factorise Linear Expressions: Practice questions

(1)
This resource contains 20 questions which involve factorising linear expressions/equations. All answers are of the form: a(bx+c) and the range of values are, a=1…10, b and c =1…5. This worksheet is the first of two worksheets, the second having larger ranges for a, b and c and adding an extra challenge. The second worksheet can be found here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12470925. Downloading both worksheets could help when it comes to differentiating, having smaller number to help those understand the process. Also, having more complex numbers to challenge those who already understand the process. Hope this can be useful!

Adding/Subtracting Mixed Number/Improper Fractions

(0)
This PowerPoint contains a lesson on adding and subtracting mixed number and improper fractions. Start activity revises simplifying fractions, calculations with fractions of the same denominator and then with different denominators. Main part of the lesson covers converting between mixed number and improper fractions with supporting questions. Then follows on to adding and subtracting the two types of fractions as well with supporting questions. I have also created a bingo for this lesson. The bingo pp contains 2 games: 1 for converting and 1 for adding/subtracting. I used this lesson for a year 8 group and got through entire presentation and both bingo games in an hour. Hope this helps.

Mixed Number and Improper Fraction Bingo

(0)
This PowerPoint presentation contains 2 bingo games, one for converting between mixed number and improper fractions and one for adding and subtracting between the two as well. I have also created a lesson which pairs with this resource well. The lesson covers both converting between mixed number and improper fractions as well as adding and subtracting the two, just as this bingo presentation. Nth Term Practice Questions- Quadratic

(0)
This worksheet consists of 20 questions split into two sections. The first section includes questions which provide the quadratic Nth term rule and asks for the first five terms of the sequence. The second section provides the first five terms and asks can you find the Nth term? Answers are provided within the document. This worksheet is ideal for practice/revision of quadratic Nth term rules, building on the foundational knowledge on linear rules. A worksheet on linear rules can be found here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12463962 If you like this worksheet then I have a booklet which contains 140 questions of the same format as this sheet. Ideal for those revision sessions or for having a solid bank of questions to use as worked examples. Link to the booklet: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12465877

Expanding Double Brackets-Practice Questions

(0)
This resource contains 20 practice questions on expanding double brackets. I also have two resources for expanding single brackets which can be found here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12469418 And for larger more challenging numbers: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12472299 Pairing nicely with this worksheet, I have a match up game which is also online teaching friendly which can be found here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12474381 Warning, the first question is a difference of two squares question, this was initially unintentional and I was going to change it. However, I left it in as a possible keyword/definition teacher moment. Hope this can be helpful. Answers are included in document.

This resource contains 20 questions which involve factorising linear expressions/equations. All answers are of the form: a(bx+c) and the range of values are, a=1…20, b and c =1…15. This worksheet is the second of two worksheets, the first having smaller ranges for a, b and c. The first worksheet can be found here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12470889. Downloading both worksheets could help when it comes to differentiating, having smaller number to help those understand and become familiar with the process. Also, having more complex numbers to challenge those who already understand the process. Hope this can be useful!

Memory Maths

(0)
This presentation contains 2 levels of a memory maths game. Memory maths is a game consisting of 16 boxes, each covered up and 2 boxes at a time are removed, revealing a question in each. Being covered again after 2 seconds this then repeats until all questions revealed and covered again. It cycles through twice and then when clicked will move onto an answers page. Questions are a mixture of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Hope this can be of use!

This PowerPoint presentation is a game of keyword bingo for KS3 geometry. It contains 14 keywords and thus 14 questions relating to the definitions of those keywords. Some questions involve pictures of shapes which require identifying, some give the definition of a keyword etc. Ideal game to play to make sure geometrical buzz-words and their definitions are well and truly cemented into your kid’s brains! All previous answers are provided in the notes for easy checking for any bingo calls! Hope this can come in handy for someone!
Pythag Pile Up Level 1

Pythag Pile Up Level 1

This worksheet includes 8 right-angled triangles, each (apart from the bottom one) with two side lengths missing. The bottom triangle has two side lengths provided, from which its hypotenuse can be calculated. This then gives an additional side length for the triangle above, allowing the hypotenuse of this triangle to be calculated. This then continues up the page. Not all triangles fit perfectly together so for some triangles extra measurements are provided. This is my level 1 worksheet, as no rearrangement of Pythagoras is required, level 2 will include this. Hope this is helpful! Final answer when rounded to 1 decimal place is 6.0 cm.

Expanding Single Brackets-Match Up Cards

(0)
This resource contains 30 match-up cards, each displaying a bracket in the form a(bx+c). The solution to the expanded bracket can be found on another card, which will have another bracket ready to be expanded. Once all cards are placed next to the cards, such that the form in the brackets and its expanded form are touching, it will form a complete loop. a values range from 2…10 and b,c values range from 1…5. For larger numbers and a more challenging task I have a level 2 version which can be found here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12472299 Or why not get both? As a bundle you can buy one and get one for a third of the price! Find the bundle here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/expanding-brackets-match-up-12472311 Fun Tip this game can be played in reverse and as a result factorising becomes the game!
