2 worksheets Worksheet with data conversions question. 2 files including powerpoint and pdf versions. Worksheet with binary to denary and denary to binary conversion questions powerpoint and pdf versions. There is a questions sheet and an answer sheet for each worksheet. This data conversion worksheet uses the data types of Bytes, Megabytes, Kilobytes, Terabytes and Gigabytes based on the data values 1000 bytes in a KB etc rather than 1024. I couldn’t find anything similar online for the data conversions so had to make one. Hope this helps.

Excel basics - How to and tasks to complete KS3 operations, basic functions, cell references

This is a 7 page document perfect for students to work on individually. I would say it is perfect for year 7 and 8 but could be used for older KS2 children also. The document starts with a guide explaining the following cell references columns rows operations formulas It then moves on to explain the basic functions and give students some tasks to carry out on these functions using some scenario based data. SUM MAX MIN AVERAGE The document then briefly describes conditional formatting before explaining the COUNT and IF function. I use this document by pasting it onto One Note. There is a space for students to paste their work but this can be done directly onto the document. The document is on Word but is fully editable. It would be useful for IT cover work as it allows the students to learn independently but could also be set as a starter task in sections.

This unit of work is a complete unit which would be ideal for Computer Science KS3 teachers or non specialist. It consists off 6 PowerPoint slides each slide includes DO NOW task 6 worksheets 1 end of unit test with answers 1 knowledge organiser Printable malware matching card game 1 A3 end of topic revision sheet The lessons are as follows: Lesson 1: Cybercrime and strong passwords Lesson 2: Types of malware Lesson 3: How to protect against malware Lesson 4: Types of hacking and the Computer Misuse Act Lesson 5: Secure websites and the dangers of free Wi-Fi Lesson 6: Revision – A3 worksheet Lesson 7: Assessment (40-50 mins suggested) Everything is editable apart from the Knowledge organiser. Each lesson starts with a 5-10 minute DO NOW task and ends with the answers to the worksheet. Each lesson has 1-3 learning objectives. The worksheets can even be given as homework or completed in lesson, They can be marked by teacher or green penned with answers on slides. I would aim this towards year 7 and 8 although it could be also used by year 9 at a push. The A3 revision sheet is designed to be filled in by students at the end of the topic and would also make a good cover lesson.
