(0)
This is a worksheet that is designed to be used alongside the play DNA. The learner will pick one of the characters from the play and create a Facebook profile for that character. They will fill in all of the information that they know about them from the play and add other additional information of their own. They will also write a status that sums up what that character is feeling at the end of each act in the play. A fun character analysis activity.

32 X card matching game. This game was designed for my KS3 class as a starter task for a PSHE lesson. There are 32 cards in total: 16 have the names of different sexualities printed on them and 16 have the different sexual identity flags printed on them. These are double sided cards once printed and have the LGBT flag on the opposite side. Print the cards double sided and cut out. Ideal for a game of ‘match a pair.’ You could add an extension question and get your learners to find out the meaning of the different types of sexuality that are named on the cards.

English Figurative Techniques & Persuasive Language. 32X Find a Pair Game/ Revision / Flash Cards

(0)
32X cards that can be used to revise figurative language / persuasive language techniques including: Similes Metaphors Alliteration Onomatopoeia Idiom Oxymoron Sarcasm Irony Direct Address Facts Opinions Rhetorical Question Repetition Emotive Language Statistics Triples ( Rule of Three) There are statements on 2X cards each, which use one of the techniques above. These cards were created so that my learners could play a ‘match a pair’ game. Turn all of the cards over on the table. Get the learners to take it in turns to turn over two cards, if the statements match the technique then they ‘win’ that pair of cards. If they don’t match, then they turn them back over and another player gets to choose two cards. Continue until all the cards are matched. These can also be used as flash cards or revision cards and the cards are double sided, with a colourful polka dot design on the opposite side. Also attached, are a set of cards ( buyer to cut out) with each of the following persuasive devices names written on them. You can get your learners to place the correct statement cards under each of these headings.

This resource has been amended due to errors in the answer. if you have already purchased it please download new version Suitable for KS2 students. Contains a mix of general Christmas knowledge, math ( adding, subtraction and multiplying) and English skills. Scenario: You are trapped inside of the Grinche’s house! Your only way out is to solve a coded message. Solve it or you will be trapped inside forever! Instructions • There are nine clues hidden around the room. • You need to locate all nine clues and then you will need to solve them in order • Five of the clues will reveal different letters of the alphabet. There are grey boxes on the clue sheet for you to write these down, as well as space on your answer sheet. When you have noted down all of the letters, you will then unscramble the letters to reveal a seasonal related phrase. • The four other clues will reveal four separate numbers. You will add these numbers together to reveal a 2-digit number. This will be the last part of the code. • Once you have ‘cracked’ both codes, you will then be able to escape from the Grinche’s house!
