Kirsten Parry - Assistant Director of Music

I have been teaching Music for 6 years and many of the resources I use, I made myself. At the moment, I am particularly focusing on making resources for the Development of the Symphony aspect of the Eduqas A Level Music course, as this is an extremely broad area of study which requires a huge amount of wider listening and contextual knowledge.

Danny Boy - arrangement for Upper Voices and String Ensemble!

This is a lovely arrangement of the traditional Irish song Danny Boy. It works really well for an upper voice choir and has two choral lines, accompanied by piano and string ensemble. The string parts are suitable for players Grade 4 and above. If you email me proof of purchase, I would be delighted to send you the Musescore file alongside the MP3s and PDFs in this pack, so that you can tweak if necessary! Included are PDFs and MP3s of every part as well as the full score! kirstenparry12@gmail.com

KS3 Programme Music Scheme of Work

This is a full 6-7 week scheme of work based upon Programme Music, appropriate for Key Stage 3 (I wrote it for Year 7). Including studies of Smetena’s Ma Vlast, Carnival of the Animals and The Lark Ascending, this is the perfect unit to get pupils into orchestral music. There are fun quizzes, listening exercises, performance opportunities and a composition project based upon images at the end. I hope that you enjoy and find it useful!

This is a mammoth arrangement of Show Yourself from the wonderful Frozen 2. This is a beautiful and delicate arrangement of Silent Night for two upper voice parts (SA or SS) and string ensemble. Perfect for a Christmas concert or carol service. The string parts would work for intermediate to advanced players and are Grade 3+ standard. I have also included the MP3 of the full arrangement, as well as the MP3 without voices. If you email me proof of purchase, I will happily send you the Musescore file so that you can tweak for your choir/ensemble! kirstenparry12@gmail.com
