Here are 3 templates that counsellors working with children and young people could use as a more visual aid and way of communicating the counselling contract. There is a blank one where you could fill in your own information or questions. There is one with key questions included. The third has key questions but added pictures / symbols. There is a black and white version and colour version of each of the 3 templates. Play therapists may also adapt the templates for their work with children and young people.

Here are 5 activity card sets for children to use when thinking about kindness on World Kindness Day or anytime -link with your PSHE lessons. There are 4 cards on each page to fill in. Activities: Write about 4 acts of kindness you have seen or heard Write about 4 ways you can spread a little happiness today and then do it! Draw 4 ways you can spread a little happiness today and then do it! Write or draw 4 things that make you happy Work with a partner and write 4 ways in which we could all make the World a happier place When all the cards are completed, collect them all together, cut them out and make them into a book or a display.

24 cards to cut out, share, talk about and write about. Children are asked to think what the images mean to them and express this in a word, phrase or sentence. Images include things like wealth, pollution, fears, virus, Police, law breaking and meat eating. Works well in pairs or small groups. A useful end of year assembly or / and class resource about Transition. This is a good discussion to find out about any anxieties your children may have about Transition, Moving On or Change such as moving to a new class / year group or school. The slides can be used with small groups or the whole class and focus on positive things as well as those that may be a little worrying for children. The last slide is an activity sheet, that can be printed off, for children to express their individual thoughts and feelings around Change and Transition. You can change the headings as appropriate for individual needs or your class. The PPT can be used with Primary children of all ages and those with SEN. You can add in extras in this PPT format such as photos of old classes, fond memories etc.

This resource has 36 cards to cut out and discuss with children. The theme starts with ways in which we take care of ourselves and stretches outwards to cover ways in which we can take care of our world. The cards can be used to make posters too, and there is a poster design idea on the first page of the resource to stimulate children. Cards can be sorted into ME and My World too.

10 posters showing numbers and number words from 1 to 10 with a recycling theme. Each poster shows a different receptacle/s for recycling. Makes good visual aids for your topic on Recycling as well as when teaching number and number words to 10. A great frieze for your classroom wall too.

10 sets of 4 colour cards in this Catch Phrase Game where pupils work out from the pictures what the phrase /sign or idiom might mean. The theme is citizenship and involves things like looking after our planet and environment as well as our responsibilities to look after ourselves and others. There is a suggested answer sheet but the pictures can be interpreted in different ways and make for good discussions as well as speaking and listening. Extend by asking your pupils to each come up with a picture card themselves with a given theme e.g. recycling. This makes a great display and assembly!

These have multiple uses from Behaviour Management to logging when the class plants are watered each day. There is a blank template included for you to add your own title/ child’s name etc.

Set 2 in this caricature Quiz. A colourful quiz where pupils work out where the 14 characters are from and then match the countries to the flags. The background to the picture characters give some clues and the pupils could carry out some research to help them if necessary. An answer grid is included for the pupils to record on. The answer sheet is also included. This activity is fun in small groups and against the clock. Pupils can also cut and match the people and the flags. A great start to learning about other countries, landmarks and cultures.

Let’s celebrate friends and friendship with these 5 activities including writing an acrostic poem and listing 5 things that make a good friend. There is an example of an acrostic poem included, with writing frames for each activity.

12 pages with 72 cards to encourage discussion about Mental Health, Well Being and the power of Positive Thinking. Links to PSHE and Citizenship. Can be used in connection with the Positivity Jar on my shop, or as a stand alone game or activity. Get the New Year off to a great start with these discussion cards. Pupils may like to make their own sets too.

A lesson linked with Feelings, Emotions, Mindfulness, Mental Health and Well Being and Self-Esteem. This is a great lesson on its own, or accompanied by a jar(empty sweet jar will do) filled with positive sayings, pictures or quotations. Great lesson to start the New Year or Term in a positive way. Children can use the* Postits* on page 3 to write some notes and plan what they will put into their own jar. They can work in pairs or groups for this or on their own.
