Places in Town Tarsia Puzzle

Tarsia puzzle used to introduce or revise places in town in French. The jigsaw pieces should be cut up and challenge pupils to match them using knowledge of cognates to support them. More interactive, engaging and challenging than a standard vocab match up. Perfect for an observation as it demonstrates collaborative, student-led learning. For more info on tarsia puzzles and to download a free, safe software to design your own search for Mr Barton Maths.

This is adapted from a fantastic resource I originally found on here, so credit for the menu, clues and concept goes to Rosaespanola! I have simply taken the fantastic concept of a food and drink based murder mystery lesson and adapted and updated the PP and resources. The lesson is aimed at Key Stage 3. Students are given a copy of a restaurant menu, clues regarding what each family member likes to eat and drink, a dictionary, hint cards and a sheet to complete with their answers. PP, all resources and instructions all included. Fantastic resource which promotes critical thinking, independent learning and collaboration.

MFL 'Hall of Fame' Rewards Display

A selection of eye-catching, professional-looking reward postcards/posters for students. There are a range of reasons they may be awarded, e.g. ‘spectacular speaker’. I have laminated them and printed in A5 size and they are displayed on my Language Stars Board. Each month I simply write up the winners in marker pen and then rub off and update. The kids love them! For the Twitter Hall of Fame one, I print a QR code which links to a photo/video demonstrating the best class/students of the month.
KS3 Curriculum Assessment Criteria

KS3 Curriculum Assessment Criteria

(0)
An eye-catching resource to demonstrate how KS3 students can achieve Grades 1-9 in Years 7, 8 and 9. The file will download as a PDF as it was designed on Canva, making it perfect for your displays. Each file contains assessment criteria for that year group and example paragraphs demonstrating what each grade would look like in speaking or writing. Please note: the idea is that pupils will progress from grade 1 up to grade 9 over the course of the year, so a Year 7 grade 1 is not equivalent to a Year 8 grade 1.
