All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. I know nothing of computer coding but started with one piece of free coding and have been adapting that by incorporating additional free coding. They are created as TEMPLATES for online interactive resources. So, if you have a blog, or want to create one to try this concept out, simply copy and paste the text in the downloaded text file as a NEW POST and PUBLISH.

A combination of spelling, sorting out letters to create words, reading, using clues and those words in a process of elimination [which can be timed if required]. Each of these part activities require separate skills which combine in the whole activity. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. Many of my ideas come from Reeha Halder at “Worksheets for kids”, who is one of the most creative educators I have come across. All I do is to try to create interactive versions of her worksheets. So my everlasting thanks to her for these next few activities. compound sentences [JigWord]

JIGWORD is a simple piece of coding where you have three columns of frames. In the first is the sentence beginning, in the third is the sentence ending and the middle is where the two are combined. A simple change of text colour coding can change this to a TESTING activity. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. I have created another version of the “boggle puzzle” but this time as simple “drop down pictures” for those who don’t need a worksheet version. It also means that if I get some positive feedback to the concept I can just keep adding to the pictures. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. Based on the Parker dice game Boggle. Again I would welcome any feedback, especially as they are so easy to create. The concept is simple, you have a 4 x 4 grid of random letters from which you have to construct 3 + letter words using letters which are next to each other vertically, horizontally and/or diagonally. In the board game you have 3 minutes to find as many words as you can. The learning part is in the scoring. One person reads out their list of words [one at a time] scoring one point for every word which has not been found by anyone else. The second person then reads out their words … and so on. There can be a “winner” each round, points can be given for the longest word found or the most unusual…Through playing this game it may well be that some “spatial” learners do better when seeing the words in a 3D context. The groans of “why didn’t I see that?” and “why didn’t I write down the plural?” will be heard constantly. This maybe suitable as a fun end of lesson activity. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. So, if you have a blog, or want to create one to try this concept out, simply copy and paste the text in the downloaded text file as a NEW POST and PUBLISH. They are created as TEMPLATES for you to adapt and add your own content. The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2024/08/spelling-and-vocabulary-boggle-puzzle-6.html The activities are meant to be fun, flexible and differentiated. They are meant to develop transferable skills and be cross curricular. As a result they hopefully reinforce small chunks of information and give a better understanding of a topic. Most of the activities are aimed at UK National Curriculum KS1 and KS2. learnanytime@gmail.com A picture catalogue of all my resources can be found at : https://learnanytime-practising.blogspot.com
