Classroom Jobs pack

(0)
A Classroom Jobs pack which can be adapted for younger children or will work perfectly as it is for the majority of Keystage 1 and 2. The pack includes: -An information powerpoint describing in detail all of the class jobs that are on offer for the children to apply for. (It can be quite useful printing the powerpoint out in booklets to allow the children to read them in pairs.) -A job application form which the children can use to apply for the class job they would like to have. A display document which enables you to have a clear list of who is responsible for which job in your classroom. All of the documents can be edited to suit your classroom and your children. I have used them with many different classes and they have worked a treat! Hope it helps!

Full 7 week Electricity unit for Year 4. PLEASE NOTE: FONTS ARE FINE ON THE DOCUMENTS ONCE DOWNLOADED! These resources are a complete unit of work for Electricity with Year 4 children. The download contains a medium term/weekly plan which was approved by the science leader, some resources to save time and a variety of short and long Powerpoint presentations for every session. The final session is used to consolidate learning, offering a great display work opportunity. You will simply need to provide the electricity equipment. I hope it saves a lot of planning time!

Playscripts Learning Journey.

This is the learning journey template (Medium term plan) I used for Playscripts this year in Year 4. It worked really well and has been improved massively since the previous year. It is a guide, however I do have the weekly planning if anyone would like to see or have it. Let me know, hope it is useful.

Stig of the Dump Guided Reading questions *Year4* - Chapter 1 and 2.

(0)
Guided reading questions for Year 4 children based on the 2014 curriculum reading targets. The questions are for chapter 1 and 2 of the book ‘Stig of the Dump’. The questions are differentiated by outcome as the more able have some more questions whereas the less able have less. You can edit these as you wish. The template is very easy to use on further guided reading texts. Hope it is useful.

The Suitcase kid Guided Reading questions - Predicting

(0)
Year 4 Guided reading resource related to the text: The Suitcase Kid. The questions are aimed at the reading statement: Making predictions based on evidence within a text. The questions are differentiated three ways based on outcome with the ‘more able’ children having some extra questions to complete. Hope these help as I know when planning the text I struggled to find any questions myself.

Assessment grid for a story with an issue or dilemma.

An assessment grid to assess against Year 4 curriculum requirements for writing and SPaG. It works well with the children once they have been trained how to use it through modeling. It also contains some of the basics as I have found my children sometimes forget the non-negotiables. It can be edited for different groups within the classroom. The teacher column is a great way for children to then find out if you agree with their assessment and find out where exactly they need to improve next time. Hope it is useful.

Persuasive Writing evaluation template

Evaluation template for children to use to assess their persuasive writing. I have used this and it helps children save time by giving them specific colours to find each English skill with. I adapt this template for all of my English learning journeys to enable children to look for the specific skills required for a good piece of writing. Hope it is useful.

Star of the day - Display resource pack.

Star of the day award, currently used in a Year 4 class with previous significant behaviour issues. The pack includes a star of the day certificate for daily use and star of the day display materials to ensure the children know what the reward is for being star of the day. I chose to allow them to sit next to their friend the following day which has changed the behaviours in my class significantly. Hope it helps.

Pokemon Behaviour Reward Booklet

(1)
Behaviour booklet linked to Pokemon previously used with a child who had serious behaviour issues. This booklet allowed the child to notice the rewards from the ticks in the booklet which then led to a prize or sticker at specific points. There is then a colouring opportunity for the child on the back of the booklet once completed.
