This resource contains a ppt presentation focusing on 10 facts. Included are three worksheets:
match-up activity (based on the x10 facts) - answers are on one of the slides
x2 sentence builders, one with the English, one without for more challenge
a vocab based worksheet with an opportunity to use the new vocabulary for some word art and a wordsearch to focus on the spellings
Hopefully by the end of the lesson, they can recall as many of the 10 facts as they have been introduced to!
This is a nice clear and easy to follow resource which is aimed at KS3 and lower ability KS4 groups.
I hope you find it useful.
This PowerPoint Presentation is designed to either introduce reflexive verbs in the present tense or could be used to revise existing knowledge. It gives opportunites for students to practise with support on the slides as they gain in confidence and knowledge throughout the presentation. The answers are all available within the slides to ensure good pace is maintained.
They are designed to not need accompanying printouts or worksheets as they can make use of the slide activities.
Check out my other grammar session lessons all clearly laid out using Powerpoint with the answers incorporated.
This is a questionnaire designed to enable pupils to share some thoughts and ideas. The purpose of which is to further understand your pupils and cater to individual needs. It can prove useful for any year group. This has been tailored to Modern Foreign Languages but it could easily be adapted to any subject.
This bundle consists of x3 PowerPoint presentations very clearly laid out which can be used to either introduce or revise:
present tense (regular verbs)
near future tense
preterite tense (regular verbs)
There are activities within the slides and all answers are included. These are a great resource as they aim to keep it as simply put across as possible.
Please check out my other resources, there is one on reflexive verbs (in the present tense) also using a similar format.
Here you have x3 PowerPoint Presentations that are designed to boost key GCSE vocabulary relating to USEFUL LITTLE WORDS. There are 3 Powerpoint Presentations covering:
connectives
opinion phrases
intensifiers
time markers for sequencing
They are very simple in design and done in a way to be used as a vocabulary booster. Pupils see a word/phrase and you give them as long as you feel needed to translate it. The following slide shows the answer. They get a point for each correct answer. They can be used in the order set out which is Spanish to English or shown in reverse to add a bit more of a challenge.
These are a great resource for boosting vocabulary which can be pulled out time and time again. Pupils could keep note of their scores with a view to improving it each time.
It is a very simple but effective format that has proven really useful for my GCSE groups.
Please check out my other resources, there is also another bundle like this available using the same format which looks at TIME PHRASES which refer to present, past and future.

This is a really nice lesson for Valentine’s. It has a SMART presentation answers that follows the two worksheets also included. It introduces some lovely phrases that Spanish uses for compliments. Pupils have the opportunity to match images to phrases, search for key vocabulary and translate in the first worksheet. They will not only have been introduced to some romantic phrases but also topic specific vocabulary. The second worksheet allows pupils to put together a love letter using a writing frame for support.
I hope you enjoy it, my students have always really enjoyed the lesson.
A full lesson aimed at a top set Y7 Spanish group (but could be adapted for any year). This is a full lesson which promotes teamwork, higher order thinking skills, peer assessment as well as making sure TL is encouraged. There is a sheet with TL that can be made use of while playing the game.
Pupils have to create their own boardgame as a way to learn a new set of vocabulary - here relating to the verb 'tener' and 'hermanos'. Pupils are given a template (juego de mesa document) to fill in after first producing an answer sheet with both the Spanish and English answers to their game (hoja de respuestas). Pupils can trial their own game as well as trial others in the class. I have included a peer assessment sheet to provide further structure and focus. The SMART presentation acts as a guide throughout the lesson.
I hope this proves useful for someone, my kids really enjoyed this way of working.
This works alongside the Mira express 2 textbook, specifically the 'qué prefieres' unit. The students love this way of working in the computer suite rather than using just linguascope/textivate type programmes. It makes use of the 'SMART' software. Pupils have to manipulate the software themselves to compete the tasks.
- Blue slides represent tasks
- Green slides have the answers
- Red slides are a bit trickier
This lesson went down very well with my group. Completely student-led, pupils are able to self-assess throughout.
I hope you can make use of it. Any feedback is much appreciated.
I'm currently working through the iGCSE AQA vocabulary and creating my own booklet with the English translation. It will prove very useful for students to have this as a reference point and for revision purposes. I'm doing it a topic at a time so they will all be here shortly!
I hope this helps.
This is designed to be a quick reference sheet with useful target language items for the teacher to use during a lesson. This is particularly useful for those teachers out there having to teach a language they are not as confident in. The idea being that one A4 side makes it accessible. I have adopted the idea and have this laminated dedicating each side to a different language. I also have this in French. It really is a useful thing for your desk!

A useful vocabulary chart with the English translations included. The vocabulary is taken from the AQA iGCSE specification for Topic 3 which has been broken down into the sub-topics. I hope this can be of help.
This is to go alongside the Mira 1 Express textbook, module 6 - the weather unit. It has been used with a mid-set Y8 class. The answers are also included.
The objectives of the worksheet:
- consolidate 'activities' vocabulary/structures
- extend phrases using 'cuando'
- make use of the newly introduced 'weather' vocabulary
- highlight the difference between 'a la' and 'al'.
I hope it is useful.

Great to get pupils interested in some culture.
This includes the PowerPoint, worksheet and answers.
It has proved very successful with students at both Y9 and KS4.
Check out my other resources.
This SMARTboard was designed to consolidate/revise Unidad 1 - qué desayunas. Pupil's use a checklist to identify which areas they feel they need more work on. The slides have been designed to allow pupils to work ONLY on areas they need to thus catering to individual needs. This was used in a computer lesson. It promotes ICT and enables pupils to use the SMART software to carry out exercises. The idea here is that pupils can work at their own pace and carry out tasks relevant to them. To monitor progress there is an accompanying score sheet. At the end pupils fill out the checklist again in light of their work in the lesson.
For those pupils that already felt confident in most areas there are different activities at the end for them to tackle.
