Powerpoint and PDF resources for an introductory unit to Spanish. In my school we run a carousel that runs for three terms where pupils experience the three languages we teach (Spanish, French and German) and this is what we cover. Within this unit we cover: Introducing yourself with names. Ages Birthday Numbers 1-31 Months Colours Opinions We follow the MYP so there are elements of our planning which will not be relevant to you (Learner Profile Traits and ATLs), and this is reflected in the cost.

PDF versions of: Time KO - a simple sheet outlining telling the time in Spanish using ‘es la…’ and ‘son las…’. Time KO + worksheet - simple tasks where pupils need to use the clocks to work out the translations. A numbers KO.

A double-sided sheet with key vocabulary for the topic of holidays. This topic has been split in half in my school so we cover present and past holidays together, enabling pupils to fully grasp the preterite and imperfect. It contains: key verbs for the unit in different tenses. adjectives that are linked to the topic. opinion phrases in different tense using different people. some ‘complex phrases’ - including subjunctive and idioms.

A sentence builder focused on the topic of holidays influenced by the work of Gianfranco Conti. This was used to support pupils to improve their milestone writing (the bullet points of which are still in the first slide). The bullet points correspond to particular sections of the sentence builder so pupils can see what they are writing about.

Double-sided coloured worksheet (would be best if laminated). Writing support for A Level. A LONG lesson to talk pupils through how to ‘break down’ the essay title, work out what they need to be writing about to get the marks, and showing them what this could look like using exemplars from the exam board. The lesson comes with a Powerpoint and a workbook (provided in PDF and Word).

Collated support and examiner reports from Edexcel to make them accessible for pupils. Gives pupils the opportunity to analyse the mark scheme and what is expected of them.
