This assembly is about famous products that were originally made through mistakes such as fireworks, coca cola and many more. It has engaging pictures to support and the story behind each product. The message is clear, celebrate your mistakes. This can be used for any key stage and easily adapted to suit your needs.
I have designed this for a whole school assembly about the effects of littering on our world. I have included a link to a beautiful video and music for the children to listen to and watch whilst entering the assembly. The Powerpoint contains facts and figures about the effects of littering and provides discussion points for what we can do to help. It does contain photos to show the effect of littering too. I have used this assembly numerous times and it always gets the message across.
This transition activity is all about being a successful learner, using learning powers such as curiosity, imagination, co-operation etc.
It talks through all of the 7 powers and what each one means and then provides a task for the children to design their own super hero for one of the traits. This can then be used as a lovely classroom display. I have also included a template for the children to plan their super hero before creating their final piece for the display.
I have used this activity for a transition activity in KS2, but it can be easily used for KS1 too.
This Assembly presentation talks the pupils through the importance of diversity and how their morning would not have been possible without it. From breakfast to getting ready for school and more. This assembly fascinates the children and is a great way to getting them to understand the importance of a mulitculteral world.
It is a detailed presentation that includes how diverse the UK is, how all our clothes, music and sport is so very diverse. It also talks about how to celebrate it and how to respect differences.
It also conatains a wonderful youtube clip from DIVERISTY, which is a great dance celebrating diversity itself.
I have used this as an assembly but it can easily be used for a class lesson.
I made this assembly to celebrate failure and explain how you succeed by never giving up. It provides the interesting and inspirational stories behind successful businesses and people who never gave up such as Colonel Sanders, JK Rowling, Honda and Lionel Messi. This can be used for any Key stage and really engages all pupils.
This presentation explores many different families and celebrates the diversity of them all. It has many ideas for discussion points and shows examples of famous families such as Elton John,Dolly Parton and the Royal Family.
It begins with a youtube link for a song from Ice Age, about families, explains how we recpect the diversity of everybody’s families and explores how each family is special in their own unique way.
This can be used as a whole school assembly or lesson.
This is a Powerpoint designed for Staff Training that outlines quality resources to enable teachers to teach Great British Values to a high standard. It can be used to improve the quality of assemblies too. These resources have been trialled for a term and are highly recommended. Great for INSET days or staff PDM’s.
This Assembly contains interesting information about our new King. It begins and ends with his favourite songs that he shared on a hospital radio station. It contains facts about his life, family and charity work, as well as fun facts about our new King, such as he has a frog named after him and his car runs on English wine! It also contains information about our King’s many roles and responsibilities. This assembly went down a treat in my school and the children could relay lots of the information in the quiz at the end of it!

I have designed and used this assembly to set a whole school competition to design a cake for the King’s Coronation. The winning child from each class will get to make their cake in school. The assembly begins with music about cake (I played this as they were entering the assembly), the Powerpoint then talks about the history behind cake and includes information about past royal cakes, including the cake for King Charles III, with lots of engaging photographs. It then kick starts the whole school competition. I have included the design spec and key information, leaving key dates blank for you to edit for your school. It could be a whole school competition or just a class competition and the resources can be edited to suit your needs. I have also included the templates for the children to complete as part of the homework / competition. I have set this last week and it was an engaging assembly and the children are very excited about the competition! I am a Deputy Head Teacher and have been leading assemblies for 13 years. I use music, animations and discussions in my assemblies to enhance engagement.
In each assembly, we have a different song playing for the children to walk in the hall to. The song at the beginning is always based on the theme of the asssembly. I give facts about the song and artist too, which provides links to our music curriculum.
The song for this assembly is ‘The banana boat song’ by Harry Belafonte and the presentation includes facts about his life, which relates to well being and everyone having the right to dream.
This assembly is all about bananas and the reasons to why they are such a positive fruit. I have included notes for every slide for discussion points and I have included an optional slide about how to turn this assembly into a whole school display.
I have used this as an observed assembly, but it can be easily adapted for class use too
This powerpoint has up to date guidance taken from recent training and includes scenarios for staff to discuss and guidance on what to do. It explains the importance of completing logging concern forms correctly and has many sarting points to encourage lots of discussion.
