Two lessons to teach the unit ‘Qu’est-ce que tu portes?’ from Dynamo 1, Module 2, Unit 2 (pages 38 and 39). A colourful resource and interactive, motivating activities such as a blind 0’s and X’s game to promote speaking, and a memory game. By the end of the unit, students will be able to say what they and others wear to school and be able to express opinions about the clothes they wear.

Listening skills lesson with a contemporary French song - GCSE French
A lesson to practise GCSE listening skills, studying the song ‘La Pluie’ by Orelsan. Interactive and engaging activities including listening for key words, gap-fill activity, practice of listening for key sounds and pronunciation, and a speaking activity to be done in pairs. A lesson which will also help to embed key GCSE vocabulary.

Two lessons to introduce learning of ‘Voici ma salle de classe’ from Dynamo 1, module 1.
Also includes a battleships game to be played in pairs, and a whole-class 0’s and X’s game. Introduces students to ‘je pense que’ ‘je dirais que’ and ‘a mon avis’ as ways of giving opinions about items in the classroom.
The key words in the yellow boxes at the start of each lesson is for the register. Students each choose one of the words to say in French and English when their name is called on the register. They can guess which word the teacher has written down to add competition.
C'etait une bonne experience?
Two lessons to teach the topic of work experience (mon stage), to go with pages 142 and 143 of Studio GCSE vert textbook. Includes a Quiz-Quiz-Trade activity, translation activities and some reading and listening exam questions from the ‘world of work’ topic taken from past AQA GCSE papers.

Resources for two lessons to teach ‘Mon petit boulot’ (pages 140 and 141 of the Studio vert GCSE book). The lessons include match-up activities, a gap-fill activity, a whole-class jeopardy game which could be done as a plenary (splitting the class into two teams), a speaking activity to be done in pairs, translations, mini-whiteboard activities and a sentence builder for support (which can be printed from slide 22).

A lesson to introduce the Là où j’habite topic in Studio 1. Includes an introduction to places in a town, and il y a / il n’y a pas de. There is also a sentence builder which helps students give opinions on a town, a 0’s and X’s game, battleships game, and translation activities for mini-whiteboards and in their books.
Past tense revision with 'avoir' and 'être'
Worksheet to practise verbs with ‘avoir’ and ‘être’. It builds up from a ‘bronze’ unjumbling the sentences activity to ‘gold’ translation. I used it with Y8 to revise module 2 of Studio 2 textbook but could also be used with lower ability GCSE students as revision. Also includes a powerpoint to go through the answers afterwards.
