This is my third knowledge organiser for Edexcel Gov and Pol- this one is for topic 3 Elections and Referendums. I sell these as individual files or as a bundle of 3 which is cheaper. They took me a very long time otherwise I would give away for free!

This is an overview resource/ learning journey for a Key Stage 3 History Curriculum and is a fully editable learning journey powerpoint. Useful for schools looking to improve their History curriculum- has been approved by Ofsted as an outstanding curriculum but can be further adapted/ improved. This is underpinned by key themes as you can see in the image. May also be useful for schools looking to build a more representative curriculum or move from a 2 year to 3 year KS3. This is for the overview powerpoint only not individual schemes of work for each topic. Also added my Key Stage 4 Curriculum which is Edexcel and includes Medicine Through Time (thematic), Anglo Saxons and Normans (British), Weimar and Nazi Germany (Depth) and Cold War Super Power Relations (Period study).

Edexcel ALevel Politics USA Politics Includes retrieval task to sort formal and informal powers of Presidency and a detailed breakdown of US Informal and formal powers of the POTUS. Examines the role of the US Vice President and US Cabinet (updated as of 2024) includes examination of Trump and Biden CAbinet and covers the nature and powers of the Cabinet as well as other basics e.g. frequency of meetings etc. Includes a picture sheet of the Biden Cabinet and two brief video tasks (youtube links included on slides). I have also included some similarities and differences to UK Cabinet for analysis as we go but have a comparative lesson at the end of the topic.

Full lesson on USA Politics for Edexcel Spec but can be used with other specifications for ALevel Politics. Examines USA Congress and role of Legislation- includes steps in Legislative process and how Congress can both help and hinder the Legislative process. Includes debate sheet and detailed examples of legislation passed.

ALevel Tudor Rebellions Course- Revision Resource: These retrieval grids cover all the rebellions against the Tudors in England. Grid 1: Henry VII between 1485-1499 Grid 2: Henry VIII and Edward VI rebellions 1509-1553 Grid 3: Mary I and Elizabeth I rebellions in England 1553-1601 Note: I have not included the Irish rebellions grid as I’ve not had chance to make this yet. These are two word documents- due to small size of text to fit on one side -will ideally be printed A3. 2nd Word document is the answers highlighted in case you are unfamiliar with the course. Lesson for ALevel History This is for the OCR Thematic Tudor Rebellions scheme of work but can be used for Tudors looking at social unrest due to socio-economic problems in the Mid-Tudor Crisis. Full lesson which covers all aspects of the rebellion with a variety of activities including card sort, venn diagram, tables, continuum and lots of reading. Examines Causes, Aims, Nature, Events, Reasons for Increased Threat and Decreased Threat, Government resopnse and Impact of the Kett rebellion.

Alevel lessons on Tudor Rebellions This is work for 2 2 hour lessons plus homework on the Nature and Threat of the Western rebellion. The Western Rebellion is one of the key rebellions which students need to study in depth for OCR ALevel. This lesson has a retrieval starter based on previous lesson. Colour code, mapping exercise to learn the narrative of the rebellion. Includes a detailed timeline/ chronology of the Western rebellion which will save you hours as I had to put it together from many different sources. Also includes a huge A3 threat evaluation sheet broken down into key criteria used to evaluate threat. This is a depth study so resources are very detailed. Analysis of threat based on all work done so far and a conclusion as well as a key debate on how violent the western rebels were.

Lesson for KS3 which examines increasing persecution of Jews in Nazi Germany since 1933. Includes all resources, fully detailed and explained so can be used by non specialists.

Edexcel GCSE lesson for Key Topic 4: Nazi policies towards Women. This lesson includes lots of information about Nazi policies towards women including enough detail to easily reach grade 9 level- can be amended for lower ability learners e.g. just by telling them to only look for 4-5 policies on the sheet to use in their answers. Also includes a whole section 3a-3d exam questions on women to practice skills and a part modelled “how useful” are these sources question for students to emulate for the next source and some sentence starters to help them to deal with interpretations e.g. “Interpretation 1 argues” In my experience students really struggle with these questions and don’t always know how to handle them and need plenty of modelling.

This is a grid for supporting your revision- it has some questions planned out in full for each topic and space for you to do your own using the models to help you. I’ve also included some full exemplar Level 5 essays for several topics.

Lesson for OCR ALevel spec Russia 1894-1941 but useful for any other spec involving Russian revolution- can also be simplified for GCSE. This lesson is designed to reflect on Nicholas’ problems and explain the growth of opposition against the Tsar in Russia prior to the 1905 revolution. Looking at the long term impact of Alexander IIs reforms such as the creation of Zemstvo and Emancipation of Serfs and the political spectrum. Lesson designed to take 2 hours plus homework- the Marxism stuff takes a lot of explaining!
