Starter image with thinking questions on for students Group work activity follows Students will focus on different members of the Cratchit family and the opinions that they form of them At the end of the PowerPoint there is an image, whereby the language term 'juxtaposition' can be taught Students could then spend time noting down where juxtaposition occurs elsewhere in the novel and how this links to the moral ideology of Dickens

This presentation takes students through a fun activity to begin with, reminding them the need to use their own words when summarising a piece of text. The final task will need an extract to go with it.
