This PowerPoint requires the student to use a computer. It can be used as home learning or a teacher led computer room lesson. The lesson covers the entire topic for revision purposes and has varied tasks that require the use of the internet. This lesson is created with Metacognition in mind and follows the following plan: Activate - Teacher relates new ideas to existing knowledge Instruct - introduction of key ideas. Model - Teacher demonstration Memorise - Teacher checks the students understanding Guide - Students attempt the activity, by the help of a teacher. Practice - student completes the activity independently. Reflect - students consider how appropriate the strategy was. I’m a highly Dyslexic teacher and try to create all my lessons with this in mind.
