This Spanish reading includes many examples of the past perfect tense. Two friends are talking about what had happened the day before to cause Dina to forget which chapter to study in her book! The reading is followed by 7 short answer comprehension questions and includes a glossary of new vocabulary. NOTE: There are two versions of the reading, in one version the verbs are highlighted for students to see in context. Activity idea: Have students circle all the examples of the past perfect tense they find in the reading. Afterwards have them discuss what had happened recently before something else to cause them to have problems or funny situations. Answer key included.
