This is a fun creative writing worksheet. The students are simply shown a paper bag with a funny expression on its face. They then need to imagine they are the paper bag and write a story about why it feels like it does. They have to imagine why it is feeling happy, sad, scared etc... using their senses as a cue. What might the bag be seeing, hearing, smelling, touching and tasting to give it the expression it has on its face. This will help the students to become more creative, write more detailed descriptions and organise their work better. This is a perfect way of preparing for the KS1 SATs tests and the KS2 SATs tests.

I want to offer posters which motivate and inspire students, while being catchy and easy to show in any classroom environment. Please leave a nice comment below.
After the Paris terrorist attack, good advice came out from homeland security on what to do if you face an attack. However it was focused on adults and not child friendly. I thought I would create a simple book which explains to children what is now recommended in the case of an active shooter attack. You should however still point out that this is an incredibly unlikely event - but one students now need to be prepared for.
I have developed an idea. Did you know that during your registration period every day, you could be actively making your whole class happier? This could be done in the morning, the afternoon or even better at the end of each day before they go home.
All they do is complete this 21 page daily journal on things which make them happy. I have used it and I can say it does make a big difference to how you approach life.
I would like to celebrate Science week with a little model Einstein the children can make from this really simply kit I have created.
I have included the instructions on how I made my Lucky Leprechaun as the ideas are the same, just different colours of clothes and a different face.
I successfully had children in Year 1 and Year 2 make these models on their own.
If you love what I do, please follow me and also look for more of my fun items in my store.
I have created 15 anti-war slogan posters which teachers are free to use, discuss and share in their classrooms. They are a great way for launching and supporting classroom discussions. Why do people go to war? Is there such a thing as a just war? Is there always a solution which does not involve violence?
If you like these posters, please take the time to leave a nice comment, share and distribute these resources to others. You can also click the little heart to be informed of all the future teaching resources I make and upload.
Are you looking for global warming or climate change presentations? Here is one I made for my own class.
Here is a sample of my work I have done for Climate Change week.
I took a public domain NASA document about climate change and I have changed it into an informative PowerPoint presentation.
If you like this work, then please look at the full version of PowerPoint presentations and colouring pages about climate change and global warming here :- https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/-11533172
I have a dream. I want all pencils used in schools to contain tree or other plant seeds. I want children to use plantable pencils. I have developed my own very cheap, simple plantable pencils which could be made and used in the classroom. All you will require are:
Some pasta with a hole in the middle, the width of a pencil
School pencil
Seeds
A school book label which will be cut in half.
From these simple resources, you will be able to make a plantable seed pencil. The children can then develop the idea. How can it be improved? How can it be decorated? What are the positives and benefits of such an idea. It is also a great tool for using in science when you wish to get childre to grow things in pots, as the pencil of course makes an instant label.
Teachers and pupils who have already tried this have given me very positive feedback.
The pencils I am using in the video are 100% recycled paper pencils - but any pencil will work perfectly well.
Are you looking for a fun way of motivating your class to achieve their real potential? This mix of motivational posters and positive behaviour chart will help you. This is a great cross-curricular teaching tool, ideal for any class. Try it in your class today!
