Introduction to some Spanish Regional Festivals. Two worksheets and a PowerPoint based on the video “Las fiestas más populares de España, cultura española” available on YouTube. Resources included: 1 - Worksheet 1: students fill in the table with information from the video. Possible differentiation: most students can fill the date and location, while more able students can also fill in the description. Alternative: students can do independent research to complete the table. 2 - Powerpoint with answers and key vocabulary 3 - Comprehension / plenary worksheet Perfect to use at the start of Topic 4 - Customs and Festivals (GCSE AQA Spanish).

This worksheet includes 24 “challenges” where students get to conjugate verbs in different tenses. I use it as a starter (usually 1 challenge per lesson) in combination with a Regular Verbs Table (most advanced students can do it without it). The idea is that they get used to using the Verbs Table and the different endings. There is space for answers and corrections. It can be self, peer or teacher assessed. It also includes an introductory PowerPoint.
