For each verb: 1. conjugate it for all 6 persons in the present tense, 2. Write an original sentence (8 words minimum) with the verb using a different subject (yo, tú, él, names of people etc), 3. Based on the sentence, write an original information question. Vary your question words (Qué, Dónde etc). Your question must be 6 words minimum.

Complete the seven mini conversations with the correct conjugations of the stem change verbs in the present tense. Note: Nosotros and vosotros conjugations do not stem change.

A reading and writing activity about Christmas in Spanish
Read the letter that Marcos wrote his friend José about how he celebrated Christmas last year and how he used to celebrate Christmas as a child. Complete the letter using the preterit and imperfect tenses.
The letter has two paragraphs (one preterit and one imperfect). The preterit paragraph has 16 verbs, the imperfect paragraph has 15 verbs (ser is used three times)
As a follow up, students can write their own letter on how they celebrated last Christmas and how they used to celebrate Christmas in their childhood. Guidelines are provided

PART 1: Write the correct conjugations in the preterit for the following subjects: yo, tú, nosotros, vosotros. For él / ella / Ud and ellos / ellas / Uds, write the correct stem change “I” in the first blank and the preterit ending in the second blank (see below)

Tomorrow is the first day of class at the high school. Paco has just moved to the town of El norte. He is talking to Marcos, a boy in his neighborhood about what his classes will be like since Marcos is a year older than Paco and has taken the same classes. Read their conversation below and then answer the comprehension questions.

Present subjunctive basic classification practice

This practice can be used when introducing regular preterit verbs and clue words (ayer, anoche etc).
For each verb, complete the following in the template: (1) Write the translation for the clue word in Spanish using the word bank ,(2) For the infinitive (-ar, -er, -ir) write the stem and the appropriate verb ending.
Verbs included: hablar, comer, escribir
Students will conjugate each verb for all 6 persons. There are 18 clue words total.
Preterit -ar, -er, -ir verb endings are included for reference.

This is a short structured practice that can be used to introduce the conjugations of -ar, -er, -ir verbs in the present subjunctive.
Part 1: For each verb type (-ar, -er, -ir), write the stem and the appropriate present tense and present subjunctive ending in the template provided.
Verbs included: hablar, comer, vivir (students will conjugate them for all 6 presons in the present tense and in the present subjunctive)
Part 2: Complete using a different present subjunctive verb from part 1 and add 2-3 words. (3 sentences total)
