Practice: Regular present tense conjugation, sentences, and questions. No collaboration or on-line translators For each verb: 1. conjugate it for all 6 persons in the present tense, 2. Write an original sentence (8 words minimum) with the verb using a different subject (yo, tú, él, names of people etc), 3. Based on the sentence, write an original information question. Vary your question words (Qué, Dónde etc). Your question must be 6 words minimum. Formula for forming information questions and a list of question words are included Verbs included: (AR) ayudar, buscar, practicar (ER) aprender, comer, beber (IR) vivir, escribir, compartir (9 verbs total)

A reading and writing activity about Christmas in Spanish Read the letter that Marcos wrote his friend José about how he celebrated Christmas last year and how he used to celebrate Christmas as a child. Complete the letter using the preterit and imperfect tenses. The letter has two paragraphs (one preterit and one imperfect). The preterit paragraph has 16 verbs, the imperfect paragraph has 15 verbs (ser is used three times) As a follow up, students can write their own letter on how they celebrated last Christmas and how they used to celebrate Christmas in their childhood. Guidelines are provided Pages 1-2: Letter from Marcos Page 3: Guidelines for the original letter that students can write Pages 4-5: Answer key for the letter from Marcos (Verbs conjugated in the preterit and imperfect tenses) Answer key is included for the letter only. This practice can be used prior to or after the Christmas holiday.

A comprehensive graphic organizer on the preterit and imperfect tenses in Spanish. It is very structured to allow students for easy note taking. The uses of the two tenses are filled in for you along with clue words for both tenses (cada dia, anoche etc) Pages 1-17 are for students to take notes. Pages 18-33 are the answer key. As an added bonus, a review of gustar type verbs in the present, preterit, and imperfect is included at the end of the organizer. The gustar review also includes writing and oral practice. Answer key is provided for everything except the oral practice with gustar type verbs.
