Las vacaciones de navidad (Christmas vacation / holidays speaking activity)

This speaking activity can be done when students return to school from their Christmas vacation / holidays. For the first part, students interview each other with questions on what they did over Christmas vacation using the preterit tense. (10 questions total)
For the second part, students will interview each other on what they used to do over Christmas break, as a child with similar questions as the first part, but this time in the imperfect tense. (10 questions total)
As an extension, this activity can also be done as a classwork or homework assignment by having students write out the answers to these questions.

A quiz on the imperfect tense. Sections include a verb conjugation chart with 7 verbs, 10 fill in the blanks questions, and 6 personal questions. Answer key is included.
A short quiz on -ar, -er, and -ir verbs and -car, -gar, -zar verbs in the preterite tense. Sections include completion of two verb conjugation charts and answering 8 personal questions.
For this assignment, students will be given 5 regular -ar, -er, and -ir verbs along with subjects, additional words, and preterit clue words like ayer, anoche etc. . They will have to combine these elements and add additional words to create an original sentence of 9 words minimum for all the 15 verbs. This is a good classwork or homework assignment as students are being introduced to the preterit tense.
For this worksheet, students will be given 11 different question words and verbs which they will use to create their own original information questions using different subjects of their choice and answer them in the present tense. A template is provided for the students to use for all questions. Students also have to fill in the question answer chart as a way to help them answer their questions. This is a good practice on how to form and answer questions in Spanish.
A one page quiz on using the present subjunctive v infinitive. There are 14 fill in the blank statements. Answer key is included. The quiz can also be used as a worksheet or be assigned for homework.
A speaking activity with the present perfect tense where students will combine elements from columns A, B, C, D, E and add additional words to form information questions (start with a question word) and interview your classmate(s). All questions must have a different subject. Questions can be about anyone or anything.

A structured and detailed graphic organizer on the present perfect subjunctive where students can easily take notes. The formation of past participles (hablado etc) is included along with irregular past participles. Red light verbs (verbs that take the present perfect tense) are also included. The final section has 8 sentences in English that should be translated to Spanish using the present perfect subjunctive or the present perfect tense. Answer key is included for the entire organizer.
