In order to have a great New Year, write down 8 New Year’s resolutions using ir + a + infinitive. Your resolutions could be about anything: academics, sports, health, house chores, finding a job etc. Now, work with a partner and read orally each resolution. Your partner will offer advice on how to best carry out each resolution using the present subjunctive. If you choose not to use the present subjunctive, you can start off with an impersonal expression like “es importante” followed by infinitive. A mini quiz on the present subjunctive. Section 1: Complete the verb chart by conjugating the following verbs in the present subjunctive: Hablar, comer, vivir, acostarse. Section 2: Complete the following expressions with the present subjunctive, indicative (present tense), or infinitive.
