A 6 week unit including planning and differentiated Widgit (Communicate in Print) resources. Work is differentiated for a wide range of children to access - I am currently teaching children working at mainstream Y1 - Y5. Unit of work includes: I can identify some examples of computers and what a computer does. To use a familiar program to change the appearances of media. To identify, collect and present simple data. To input a short sequence of instructions to control a device. To explore online and digital safety and to identify who to tell if something is inappropriate online. I can recall what I have learnt during the half term and show this within my work. Each lesson starts with a practical/verbal task and then a written task which can be completed with an adult, as a group or independently depending on the needs within your class.
