Students focus on the early beginnings of the Nazis Party, and how Hitler used the Munich Putsch to his advantage.
Students to evaluate the claim that it failed, but it was not a disaster.
A detailed lesson (probably over 2-3 lessons) evaluating how significant Stresemann was to the recovery of Germany in the 1920s.
There are opportunities for essay writing, source analysis and a short game where students put themselves into the shoes of Stresemann.

Opposition in Tsarist Russia - looking at reasons why Tsardom was so unpopular, and therefore why oppositional groups grew and ultimately assassinated Alexander II.
This opposition then fed through to Alexander III’s reign and into Nicholas II’s reign and was a long term cause of the Revolution and his abdication.
