This 15-20 minute presentation outlines some basic first aid for KS3, KS4 and KS5 students. It was originally used as a PSHE tutor time session. It is based on the BBC First Aid videos which only work in the UK and includes discussion questions and no written tasks. This follows the Basic First Aid part of the new RSE & Health Curriculum and teaches students how to complete CPR, deal with bleeding and shock and bone fractures.This could also be used as a whole school assembly to improve their health knowledge and PSHE provision. Students reacted very well to this session.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly about emergency first aid. It covers how to perform CPR and stop heavy bleeding. This is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grade 6-12) and can be used as a tutor time session, PSHE or Citizenship lesson or Health whole school assembly.
It fits into the new RSE and Health Curriculum of 2020 but can be used for other purposes to teach people these important life saving skills.
It includes:

How to perform CPR
How to stop bleeding when someone is bleeding heavily
What a defribrillator is
Infographics to remind students of first aid
Dual coding and discussion task
This does not include any written activities but ends in a discussion task about whether you should give anyone who needs it CPR. There may be BBC links in that only work in the UK.
This was originally used for a Year 11 PSHE tutor time session about emergency first aid after an introduction to CPR earlier in the year and in school.

This is a document that outlines some assembly and mental health themes across the year. It includes important topics to cover as well as a few religious festivals and a mental health theme for each week starting September 2021-July 2022. It is for HOY and the pastoral teams to plan the assemblies and tutor time activities. So if you just need a mental health theme or assembly theme for the year you can download this and get it all done for you! This is for KS3-KS5 assemblies (Ages 11-18) but can be used for other year groups too. This does not include assemblies but there are plenty to purchase in my TES shop. I have added a version 2 because we have changed them slightly throughout the first term.

I have taught this both to Year 8 and Year 10 and it has been received well by all students and improved their learning about Christian pilgrimage. It is suitable for KS3 & KS4 (Aged 11-16) as part of the Religious Education KS3 curriculum or AQA pilgrimage part of Christian Beliefs GCSE topic.
This lesson contains a review about smoking with a quiz and a competition. This was originally part of a PSHE day on smoking for Year 7 but can be used from KS2 - KS4 (Ages 7-16) as a standalone lesson or part of another lesson about smoking. It discusses questions about the law, addiction and chemicals and ends with a competition task for pupils to complete.
This PPoint outlines the news stories that have occured since schools in the UK broke up for the Summer (end of July & August 2021). It has a downloaded inspiring video about the Olympics and is an interactive PowerPoint which requires questioning and discussion of various issues including the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions. It also finishes with a true and false quiz to test their learning. This will be a session I share with my KS3, KS4 & KS5 (11-18) for their second PSHE tutor time session of the year (the first one being the introduction to PSHE which you can also find in my shop). This lesson pack is a fully resourced Ofsted ready lesson about different Christian beliefs about fertility treatment and the main different methods that exist. It includes a carousel activity so students can find out about the different methods themselves with information cards, a chart worksheet to complete, differentiated questions, a match up starter activity, a full lesson plan and powerpoint focusing on exam skills and extra knowledge. This was originally a KS4 lesson produced for an Ofsted visit and it was graded outstanding and well received with the students. This can also be adapted to be used as a standalone resource for Fertility Treatment as part of PSHE or RSE & Health Education. Purchase this pack and you have everything you need ready for an observed lesson.
This is a 15 minute end of year assembly which could last up to 30 minutes. You can use the script if you need to narrate the PowerPoint or deliver it in-person. This assembly has some videos of hope embedded, some key points of the year, how to stay safe this summer and prepare for the upcoming year. This was originally a 15 minute assembly to Year 10 but can be used for any years from 7-13 (Ages 11-18). You can add some rewards on the end specific to your group or use just this to save yourself some time at the end of the year.
This lesson is to introduce the Philosophy Unit for Religious Studies OCR H573 or H173. It gives a good introduction into what Philosophy is, some key philosophers, important philosophical questions based on reality, discussion and written tasks and embedded videos. It includes the parts of the specification, an introduction to the topics covered and explores key elements of the course. You won’t need anything else to introduce the Philosophy unit at A Level.
This was originally a Year 12 KS5 90 minute lesson but can easily be shortened or lengthened to be a 60 minute lesson to introduce Philosophy at KS3 or KS4. There is a glossary to accompany the lesson.

This is a 15-20 minute PPoint about the Race and Ethnic Disparities Report published by the Government in 2021. This has information, downloaded videos, discussion questions and a short quiz. It is suitable for KS3, KS4 & KS5 and may be suitable for the upper stage of KS2 to explain to pupils the recent findings of the Commission. This can be used for a tutor time session, a PSHE or Citizenship lesson or a whole school assembly about current events.
This session highlights the important facts about dental hygiene and explains to younger secondary school students or older primary school students how to look after their teeth. It includes reading, discussion activities, downloaded videos and a short quiz. It can be used as a 10-15 minute tutor time session for PSHE or a whole school health focus. It links to the new RSE and Health Curriculum for both Primary and Secondary Schools.
This is a presentation for KS2 - KS4 (possibly more suited to Years 6-8) which contains definitions, information, advice, NHS tips and a quiz and reflection question as a plenary. It is suitable for a 10-15 minute tutor time session, assembly or PSHE session. It can easily be lengthened for a whole lesson by getting students to create a menu using all of the tips they have been given. It has been used successfully with Year 7 & 8 students and links to the new RSE and Health Education Curriculum.
This session is planned to last around 15 minutes as a short introduction for younger Secondary School pupils or older primary school (e.g. Year, 5-8 Ages 9-13). It includes a downloaded video, a short quiz and some important information all children need to know as they start or go through puberty. It has a thinking task and ground rules and can be lengthened to last a whole lesson if needed.
