This is an 12 day English plan complete with success criteria for each day and accompanying resources to support Cross Curricular teaching of the topic, The Stone Age. One of the tasks can be used as an independent write after you have taught them how to describe one of the characters, preferably after teaching the book so that you can make references to character at each point. The book, Stone Age Boy can be used. The activity is based on describing the Stone Age boy/girl(height, weight, hair, face, eyes, mouth,teeth, clothes, emotions, voice,speech and movement using adjectives or expanded nouns, powerful verbs and similes and includes a success criteria and picture stimulus on each page. The planning task also includes an extension. Lesson 1: To use expanded nouns and adjectives to describe a character. Lesson 2: To plan a character description. Lesson 3: To write a character description. Lesson 4: L.O: To edit a piece of writing. Lesson 5: To use expanded nouns and adjectives to describe a character.
