I made a wacky presentation showing some constellations, and a tiny bit of information on the solar system. I also made a movie of the presentation set to music. Just for fun really.

A simple information sheet, with the emphasis on clarity. It may be useful to someone, somewhere.

I made a tiny, simple little interactive animation thingy to illustrate particles in a clunky kind of way. Just the three states of matter. Please note: in order to provide a rich interactive experience, my interactive resources are mini-web sites local to your computer. After unzipping, they comprise a folder containing the main .html file and another folder containing the graphic resources and my coding to make the resource work. Double click on the .html file and the resource will work in your web browser… If, however , you move or delete any of the files from this hierarchy, the resource will not work. stdobbs.com ©D&D production

Whacky narrated video showing how to answer the ‘draw a ray diagram to show the formation of an image by a plane mirror’ type question.

I made a simple display of the atomic structure of various isotopes, with the emphasis on simplicity and clarity. Just because I wanted to. I also included it as keynote and powerpoint presentations.

I made a simple worksheet about density. 5 pages. Two of info, one table of values, a page of questions and my answers. I have now added a keynote and powerpoint version.

Preparing for a lesson with a student on waves, I was searching for diagrams to illustrate it. The internet is awash with suitable diagrams, but they all seem to be low-resolution bitmaps. Being a vector graphic fanatic, I made some high quality graphics of my own. I offer them in pdf, keynote and powerpoint formats. If you would like the editable svg files, get in touch with me via my web site

A simple simulation of the experiment. Unzip the file. Open the folder. Double click on ‘spring stretch version 4.html’ and it opens in your browser. Add the masses by clicking the buttons, and watch the spring stretch. Use a ruler to measure the extension. (The anomaly on the graph at 3N is probably due to a draught of warm air expanding the spring as a door was opened). Enjoy! A preview is availableon my web site.
