using building blocks in order to develop speaking and writing, I have used and adapted the middle slides ( to be completed on mini whiteboards ) from a resource found on here and added learning outocmes and models for each level. Levels are referring to styles and levels of support used by students, rather than just using the tenses, I do explain that for level 5, a tense would be preferrable , like for a C at GCSE a tense or an attempt at it is preferred.

This is to go along with Studio 2 , unit 2 , J'adore paris , hence the title and reinforces the activities in the En Plus section. I have made notes at the bottom of each slide which suggest activities for the slide and the aim of this activity is not only to guide students to use both tenses accurately but to also show them the importance of other grammatical aspects such as the use of time expressions, connectives and opinions, as well as sentence development.

this is to help students building up confidence to write and speak using connectives and various tenses on the topic of healthy lifestyles.

Now this was the starting point of a new Scheme of learning introduced for the first term as a transition module. I will add the rest later as the edited version contains listening activities on food and recipes, and more on foods,, with some elements of grammar.

a presentation to run with mini whiteboards to demonstrate ideas of how they can be used across subjects to enhance learning, making progress, keep focus, pace and engagement throughout a full lesson, moving through levels and grades. I will have to update it as there are more slides I will be using in the future.

For peer assessment and paired dictation to practise this tense and practise writing je vais + correct infinitives. Student A could read the entire script whilst B rewrite and retells from memory

this is the presentation I used of a leadership qualification : I had organised an international day at my current school , involving y7-11. All is in the power point.

This lesson plan i created for my year 11 option group and I hope it is useful to anyone on here who would like to use or tweak whatever. Hopefully this will help in motivating students who can find it hard to understand the concept of story teeling/ naarative, it did help my y9. I used the card sorts to support ( the sngle words being the starter then used the phrases for sequencing to see if they could reconstruct the story. Could also read and ask students to show you the correct phrase .

You will find the script on the French site called 1 jour 1 actu. It contains short clip with key words in authentic French. It goes quite fast, hence all the resources attached to support students through the study of authentic resources and texts, particularly for the new GCSE MFL and A Level ( 2016 ). just to explain the conditional, set objectives and outcomes and guide speaking and writing about ideal holiday. The second power point contains two extra slides, one has demonstrated the easy and harder way to use the conditional , one slide is called 12 verbes avec le de as it gives you a chance to roll two dice, then ask students to write the matching verb onto a mini whiteboard using the easy or harder option

You can use this as a template and type any vocabulary you want. Get students to fold and hide, then unfold and check, good for starters especially when preparing for speaking or writing controlled assessements

with an accompanying worksheet to support and a reading activity, the power point contains a sentence builder and a listening ' memory map' for pupils to complete after they have listened to the script to see what they remember and if they can identify the activities.

I will try this with my year 11. Think they will like it. Visit the French website 1 jour 1 actu. play the clip ( in Informations animees ), it is the clip from Monday 30/11. the use the activities attached as you wish. The stater sheet will help students familiarise themselves with the script but you may wish to use it as a plenary rather than as a starter, this will depend on your groups ( A Level should cope with it as a starter ). Then complete all activities or even use the script with the first listening, then remove it gradually. offer the vocabulary search once students are more confident , it can be done with or without the script. I have put first letters of each words needed in French for guidance.
