This missing word work sheet would work best if completed whilst watching the episode from the Monarchy series. However, it can be completed for the most part using common sense. The sheet can, therefore, be used a primer for Henry VIII or as a revision lesson up to the execution of Anne. (Perhaps even as a cover lesson)

This pack contains three possible assessments that use sources as evidence for students to give an opinion on the British Empire. The John Bull Assessment would require some prior knowledge. The Mark scheme is quite detailed.

The PPT is simple and has the images of the "Events - Chronological" to use as a starter and get responses from students. There is also a slide of famous "pop" musicians from different times Then there is a slide that has the images of "Music Chronological" which asks the students to arrange the method for listening to music in chronological order. I have had students attempt this on the board after they have attempted it on the sheet. Many students do not even recognise the items. I suggest labelling them with your class before an attempt if they or you are unsure.

This is an American Football inspired two-minute PPT countdown During practice, the team works out a plan for the last two minutes of the half or game. Everyone knows what to do.There is little communication, as everyone knows their task. You can use the two-minute drill to focus the students for two-minutes or have them tidy up.

We all know what an elevator pitch is. Here I have adapted them to History. But you have bought the original so do what you will ;) Have your students complete one as an activity, starter, plenary or even a homework.
