A Pirate Story Writing Worksheets

Pirate themed worksheets for planning and writing own pirate story.
The set includes:
• Story Plan - write a brief sequence of events for a story (beginning, middle, end)
• Story Structure – explain: characters (who is in the story?), settings (where and when did the story happen?), problem (what happens?), and solution (how is the problem solved?)
• Story Map – use the word bank to illustrate and label a sequence of events for a story
• Character’s Portrait- illustrate the main character - list adjectives to describe the character, and write sentences
• Setting the Scene - illustrate the setting - list adjectives to describe the setting, and write sentences
• 2 blank lined worksheets for writing (one has space for illustration) to use as often as needed for different parts of the story

I have also created 3 useful word mats with key vocabulary for writing stories about pirates. Includes: story sequence - sentence starters, nouns, verbs and adjectives.
