Las clases with ir a and tener que infinitive

For each class, complete the sentence with ir + a + infinitive (going to do something) and tener + que + infinitive (to have to do something) using the word bank provided or come up with your own responses, as long as they are logical.

  • A structured template is provided for student responses.

Word bank: (use in any order as long as they match the class) Do not repeat any answers.

leer una novela / solucionar los problemas / escribir un ensayo / usar una calculadora / hacer un experimento / escribir un informe del presidente / aprender de la cultura hispana / aprender sobre las plantas / hacer una investigación / correr en el campo / conversar en español / jugar al fútbol

Note: For each class, there is a different subject (person).

Example:

  1. En la clase de inglés

Ir + a + infinitive: ___________________

Tener + que + infinitive: _________________

Answer: Yo voy a leer una novela.

Yo tengo que escribir un ensayo.

Answer key is included on pages 3-4. Student answers will vary.

This practice can be used in Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 for classwork, homework, quiz, review, entry or exit slip.
