Present, preterit, and imperfect tenses quick practice

Complete each set of sentences with a conjugated verb in the appropriate tense: present, preterit, imperfect.

*There are 8 sets of sentences (24 sentences total).

Sentences #1-9 are with regular -ar, -er, -ir verbs and only singular subjects (yo, tu, and el are used). Sentences #10-24 use dar, ir, ser, ver, and hacer and plural subjects are used except for ver.

Example:

  1. Yo ________ con mi amigo. (hablar)
  2. Ayer yo ________ un refresco. (beber)
  3. Cada día yo ________ con mis amigos. (salir)

Answer key is included on page 2. This practice can be used for classwork, homework, quiz, review, entry or exit slip (broken up into smaller sections).
