Spanish A Level - La guía de la buena esposa - Los cambios en la familia

This PPT is to introduce the students the women’s role during the Franco’s dictatorship. Students learn about “La guía de la buena esposa”, a short book with 11 rules which dictated how women had to behave in Spain durign that period of time.

Students read carefully the 11 rules and need to summarise them only describing the main idea.
Using the worksheet students will help each other, each student will have to describe one rule with their own words and the others will write it down.

Another way to complete the sheet can be displaying the rules around the class and students will choose to summarise some of them.

This activity is very useful to practice writing skills when summarising texts and for students to learn how the women’s role has changed over the years in Spain.
