- Reading comprehension with unfinished sentences (daily routine / healthy lifestyle) pupils complete the sentences.
- Conjugation of PODER
- Zona cultura - video clip about UN convention on the rights of a child
- Match up - sentences and pictures
- ¿Qué es? Recall - oral / whiteboards / paired knockout
- Key vocab recall + challenge (conjugation of TENER)
- Translation: ¿Cuales son los derechos que tenemos en Inglaterra?
- Speaking activity: ¿Qué derecho es lo más importante para tí? ¿Por qué?
- Listening (activity 3 pg78) - challenge: translate the sentences into English
- Reading (activity 6 pg79) - challenge: make the false statements true
- Match up - protest slogans
- Create: Placard for a peaceful protest around children’s rights
A few other activities in the text book that could be used to pad out the lesson and get in some additional practice. This was aimed at a top set Y9 class so some more structure may need to be added for lower sets - writing frames, speaking grids, amended translations etc.
