Multiple choice questionnaire about healthy living, with magazine style results section on powerpoint (add up score for each answer and read a short paragraph about what this means). \n\nUsed as starting point for writing a paragraph about how healthy you are, but could also swap with someone else and write in 3rd person about their lifestyle.

Resources to accompany the film "Tomboy" (2011) for able Y9 pupils.Main focus is describing characters in 3rd person but some general reading comprehension (true or false about the story) and work on how characters feel, plus predictions for what will/should happen next. Lots of opportunities for discussion in English - SMSC. 19/04/15 - Added final 2 lessons (1 matching quotations to characters, watching and discussing ending, 1 writing a comparison of 2 main characters).

A lesson I have prepared for induction with Y6. Would also be suitable for a first Y7 lesson in September. \n\n1) Asking and saying what your name is.\n2) Quiz in groups - knowledge about Spain/Spanish-speaking countries.\n3) Video clip to introduce greetings.\n4) Que tal? + various responses\n\nQuiz is adapted from a resource a colleague sent me, so may have come from TES before.

Year 8 lesson for pupils following Expo 2 Rouge.\n\nAlready done modal verbs (invitations and excuses) and clothes. Combine/consolidate in this lesson.\n\n1) discuss uniform in France/watch clip.\n2) key vocabulary - things not allowed in school.\n3) categorise statements with modal verbs (can, must, can't wear)\n4) does the statement apply to England or France?\n\nFor part 3, statements are on individual slides as I send pupils slides on iPads (pdf version attached for those who have this option). But can easily be adapted.

6-8 week module based on Expo 2, Module 1. Aimed at Year 8, Set 3 of 4. Includes a lot of revision from Year 7 (family, where you live, present tense) plus jobs and the weather. Unfortunately lessons 5 and 6 are missing due to memory stick issues.A few slides may have been taken from other TES resources. 2 lessons for a top set Y8 class doing Spanish once per week alongside French. \n\nUsing mas...que, menos... que and tan... como.\n\nSome slides found on TES and adapted/added to my own resources, so not entirely my own.

Lesson to introduce personality adjectives with Y7 (they've already done loads of work on agreements for colours and physical description, so not that much time spent on it here).\n\nGoes with Expo 1 and does refer to reading and listening activities from it, but hopefully some of the slides will be useful even if you don&'t use this textbook.

2-3 lessons on the weather and activities in the near future tense for a weak KS3 group. \n\n1st lesson - presenting the vocabulary, recording on a sheet, understanding sentences about weather in different locations.\n\n2nd lesson - listening from Mira 1, then near future tense linked with weather (plans for the weekend).

To build on work on saying how often you go to the cinema (Expo 3 Vert - Module 1, adverbs of frequency). \n\nRecap of aller and adverbs of frequency, followed by work on reasons/for against cinema-going. Work out the meaning of the statements and categorise for and against.\n\nKey vocab given in word-bank on powerpoint to support least able.

A worksheet aimed at preparing a very low ability (Y11 SEN) class for the FCSE Reading papers on the topic of Holidays. Covers key vocabulary needed for the paper that they won't necessarily have covered before as the FCSE papers can be a bit random.

Read and run activity for bottom set Y8. \n\n4 fairly straightforward texts about holidays in the past tense, with 15 questions for pupils to answer in teams by reading the texts around the room.\n\nThe last 3 questions require them to answer in French by finding the correct phrase.

A reading task I made for a Y9 bottom set beginners Spanish group who have been learning Spanish for about 10 weeks so far.\n\nThe main aim is to recognise the difference between 'soy de' and 'vivo en' with place names, but there's plenty of added detail to make it a bit more challenging. \n\nI&'ve made the font size big so it can be copied 2:1, giving A5 sheets.

For a beginners Spanish Y9 class. \n\nIntroduces animals vocab (pets) and includes a sheet for pupils to match up and record vocab.\n\nSpeaking and writing including adjectives.

Present tense lesson for Year 8:\n\n-match-up starter with grammar extension for more able\n-tutorial and drilling on present tense formation\n-writing task\n-'donner ou garder les points' plenary game - pupils translate sentence, then decide whether to keep the points or give to the other team BEFORE the points are revealed.

Various activities used as starters or plenaries during topic on hobbies, sport and the weather.\n\nIncludes - 3 in a row (girls vs. boys - pupils must say phrase correctly based on picture to claim the square), gapfill, find the mistakes, settling match-up in books starters, and a game for plenary.
