A couple of lessons looking at the challenges to Elizabeth from abroad mainly those from France and the Spanish Netherlands. The Dutch Revolt puts Elizabeth in a tricky position on what she should do and Mary, Queen of Scots arrives making the situation even more dangerous for Elizabeth.

A lesson looking at the Catholic challenges to the Religious Settlement. Firstly the Papacy and the Northern Rebellion.
